Judicial reform cannot succeed without reforming the legal profession. This research shows how poor-quality lawyering—through defective pleadings, adjournment culture, and weak assistance to courts—multiplies litigation and delays justice. Quality lawyers, by contrast, reduce appeals, protect liberty, and enable courts to function efficiently.
